Socialization of the implementation of e-Commerce data collection

The increasingly massive household in accessing the internet in this digital age led to changes in lifestyles that resulted in changes in consumption patterns. There are three main issues related to household lifestyle changes: the occurrence of shifting from non-leisure to leisure, shifting off-line shopping to on-line, and the impact of online transactions to price (inflation).

Changes in household consumption patterns need to be considered given the role of household consumption is very large in the formation of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Indonesia (55.67%). Therefore, data and information on lifestyle issues via e-Commerce data are required.

BPS, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and Indonesian E-commerce Association (idEa) cooperate to build e-Commerce data by disseminating the implementation of e-Commerce data collection at Hotel Borobudur-Jakarta (15/12). This event invites related ministries and agencies as well as 78 CEOs of e-Commerce business in Indonesia.

Head of BPS in his presentation said that to implement Perpres no. 74 Year 2017 on Electronic Road Based Electronic Street System Map, the involvement of e-Commerce actors is absolutely necessary.
